Update
Well, this summer has now become quite busy. I began working a full time job at the American Red Cross as a laboratory tech in the viral lab. So far it seems like an interesting job, and it does pay the bills. Brendon has been staying with Lora a couple of days a week and with my dad the other two days of the week. I am trying to get used to having Sunday and Monday off, as opposed to Saturday and Sunday off. After I am trained, I will be allowed to move to a 10 hour schedule and work only 4 days a week. The best part about the lab, is that they are open 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, so if I need to switch shifts for any reason, it isn't that difficult. Everybody there works a different schedule. I like the idea of that kind of flexibility. Eric has also switched to a new job, and his hours are extremely flexible. I think that things are finally starting to come together.
In other news, Eric and I have decided to start saving for a down payment on a house. We have done lots of number crunching based off of our new salaries, and we have determined that we can probably buy a house by next summer. We will have to live on a tight budget for the next year, but we really know that it will be worth it for Brendon to have a back yard to play in. I am really excited that we have decided this is the best option for us. It finally feels like I am an adult.
Brendon and I are so lucky that we now have Eric in our lives. Eric provides Brendon and I with a stability that I thought we would never have. Brendon finally has someone to fill the role of dad, and I finally have someone that I actually want to spend the rest of my life with. I think we appreciate one another even more since we have both been in terrible marraiges. I am so happy that we finally have a family;)

Amy, I am so happy for you! It sounds like things are really coming together for you, like your new job, and Eric. You deserve to be happy!
Amy, you don't know how happy it makes me as your Mom to see you & Brendon finally happy!!! I knew you would find Eric someday, I just didn't know when. You know as a parent that you always worry about your children. Well, I don't have to worry about you anymore. Eric is awesome & I'll be proud to call him my son in law. I miss you though with your new work schedule. I have to spend my Saturdays alone now. I love you!!! Mom
