Amy's blog

This is a blog about me, Amy,my husband, Eric, and my son's Brendon and Gabriel. I really just want a space to write down all of the little things that you forget in everyday life. I have started this blog to have a place to remember all of Brendon's (and now Gabriel's) little antics and the funny things that he says and does.

Graduation Day

Well, I graduated on Saturday. The day turned out just liked I had hoped, and all went well. We arrived at the school at 8:30, and the ceremony started at 10am. It lasted for 3 hours. My mom, dad, Eric, Brendon, Eric's mom, and Lora all came for the ceremony. They must love me to sit through that long ceremony.
After the ceremony, we went to the legacy luncheon. I felt kind of special because the only graduates that were invited, were the ones that had family members that were alumni. My dad, uncle, and cousin all graduated from UNCC. The lunch was held at the new alumni house, and I got to sit with the chancellor and vice chancellor of the school. I always here about these guys, but usually you don't get a chance to chat with them, or even meet them for that matter. Of course when we got to the alumni house, there were alot of peoples pics on the wall that were alumni, and my dad had been friends with many of them. I just thought that was so cool.
After our luncheon, my mom and I headed out to get my cake, and decorate, and finish the food before my party. I was so excited to have everyone over to celebrate. We had about 30 people or so show up and all of us had a great time. Thanks to everyone for your support over the years. I never could have done this without good friends and family to help me succeed. A special thanks to mom and dad for their continued support.

Congrats on your special day. Wish that I could have seen 2 of my girls graduate that day. It's finally over and I have you back in the "living" so to speak.
