Last Night's Game

I don't usually write about all of Brendon's rec ball games because there are just too many to discuss. This week is kind of crazy, he had a game last night, he has a game Wednesday, and then a rec ball tournament this entire weekend. Right now his team is tied for second place out of 14 teams. If they can pull it together against the #1 team, they have a good shot in the tournament.
I have to say last night was a great game. Our kids were playing a really good team, and the final score was 16-3. We had shut the game down by the end of the fourth inning. I think Brendon really stepped it up for this game because there is a kid on the team that he played last night that is on Brendon's challenge team, and he is always really mean to Brendon. He calls him names and tells him his face is ugly. I think that Brendon just wanted to beat his team so badly. It was the third inning and bases were loaded. Brendon was the 10th batter, so he had to run on anything. He hit the ball clear to the fence and made a grand slam. It was amazing! He got 4 runs off the 10th batter. That is almost unheard of. I was really proud of him, and his whole team. They got it together, and did a wonderful job. Way to go Brendon!!!
