Amy's blog

This is a blog about me, Amy,my husband, Eric, and my son's Brendon and Gabriel. I really just want a space to write down all of the little things that you forget in everyday life. I have started this blog to have a place to remember all of Brendon's (and now Gabriel's) little antics and the funny things that he says and does.

Ok, You Can Look Now

Well it has taken me almost a week, but this blog is finally going to be finished. Lora, you weren't supposed to peek, but I had a feeling that you would. You are better at keeping up with your blog than I am so I promise I will try to make more posts.
Brendon and I had an absolutely wonderful weekend last week. I am going to try and recap each day, but there is so much to remember that may forget some of it.

Friday
On Friday I took the day off of work to go to Brendon's field day at school. It was really cute to see all of the kids so excited and ready to play. Field Day was absolutely my favorite day of the year when I was in school, so I wanted to be there for Brendon's big day. By the time field day was over, Brendon was covered in mud. He was loving it, until I told him he was going to have to go home and take a shower.
After that we left for Atlanta and it took us four hours because of traffic. Below are the pics of field day.

See how clean Brendon was when he started field day:

Brendon eating a snow cone at field day. I thought this picture was really cute. Can you see the mud all over his legs?

Here Brendon is standing in line for the water relay race. Now I know that you can see he is covered in mud at this point, and he was proud of it.

When we got to Atlanta we went found a nice resteraunt and enjoyed a lovely dinner. I love this picture of my mom and Brendon. Sorry Mom I know you hate your pictures, but I just had to do it.

We found this really pretty waterfall and took alot of pictures. There were actually several people doing the same thing, so I figured it would be good for us to shoot our pictures too.

Saturday
On Saturday we woke up and went to eat a nice breakfast. We knew that it was going to be a really long day at Six Flags so we wanted to get in a good meal. When we got to Six Flags and discoverd that parking was $20, we knew this was going to be an expensive excursion. Our tickets were $50 each and Brendon had a free ticket from his Math A Thon. We stayed at the park for 6 hours, and then we couldn't take any more. Brendon rode his first rollercoaster, and when I asked if he was going to be scared, he replied, "No, Mom, why would I be scared?" Then I saw his face when we were on the roller coaster and he looked petrified. After the ride was over, I asked was he scared, and he said a little, and then he started searching for the next rollercoaster that he could find. We had a really good time, but the pictures did not turn out very well. I didn't have that much time to take pics in the park.

Here is Brendon in one of the sky buckets:

Brendon wanted to take a picture of me, so here it is. He is actually very good at taking photographs. I think I am going to get him a camera.

Sunday

I drove back from Atlanta early on Sunday morning so that Brendon could get back for his tournament game and pool party. We had a pretty full day. I really don't know where Brendon gets soooooo much energy. After we got into town, Brendon had to go straight to practice, and then we went to his game. The score was 13-2 and the Yankees shut the other team down by the fourth inning. After the game, we all went to one of the kids houses to have a pool party. The kids had a really good time. I couldn't get Brendon out of the water. At 8 o'clock, I finally had to drag him home.

Here is a picture of the cake that one of the mom's made. I think that she did a really good job of decorating it. I am definately not that talented.

Here is Brendon squirting a little girl with a water gun. I think he had a minor crush on her, and she is a year older than him. I am going to have to talk to him and tell him to stay away from older women, they are trouble!

Tuesday Night

CONGRATULATIONS YANKEES!!! The Yankee had their last tournament game on Tuesday night. They won 9-7, and went undefeated the entire season. This means that they were the best team out of 16 teams! The kids played so well, and we were all so proud of them. After the game, each of the kids got a game ball, and there was an awards ceremony with medals for each of the kids. After the awards ceremony we all met at Ben and Jerrys to celebrate. We didn't get home until 9:30, but it was a special night for Brendon. Brendon, I am soooo proud of you, sweetie.

Here he is getting his game ball.

Here is the team posing with their game balls.

It was starting to get dark, and it is hard to see, but this is Brendon getting his medal from the head of his league.

Here is the whold team with the coaches. Brendon is the 3rd from the left on the bottom row. A special thanks to Doug Ellis for working so much with Brendon on his baseball skills!

WOW! That sounds like an awesome weekend for me, and I'm a 25-year-old girl! I couldn't imagine how excited Brendon was. It looks like you guys had a fabulous time. I hope I have your energy so I can keep up with Sam as well as you do with Brendon!

I am exhausted just reading about your weekend!!!

Looks like you and Bben had a great time though. He is too precious for words.

Also, I love the pic of you. You're so skinny, we are going to have to trade clothes! You look positively radiant (how is that possible after doing all that stuff?!).

My favorite pic in this series is of Brendon in front of the waterful in black and white. Perfection!

Okay, Amy that's it. I'm never allowing you to take my picture again. You know I hate pictures of me!! They just look so horrible. They don't even look like me or if they do, God help me!! Of course, you and Brendon always look fabulous in every picture you've ever taken. That's just not fair. Brendon I'm very proud of you!!! The coaches wife said that you were the most improved player on the team. GO SLUGGER!!! Love you bunches!!!
