Lilypie Baby Ticker Lilypie 1st Birthday Ticker

Amy's blog

This is a blog about me, Amy,my husband, Eric, and my son's Brendon and Gabriel. I really just want a space to write down all of the little things that you forget in everyday life. I have started this blog to have a place to remember all of Brendon's (and now Gabriel's) little antics and the funny things that he says and does.

3 Day Weekend

Brendon has been gone this whole weekend, so I have pretty much had to keep myself occupied. It has been a nice break, but I really miss him. He will be coming home today and then we are going to go to a friends house and swim and cook out. I will post a blog about that later.

On Saturday, Lora and I decided to go up to Kings Mountin to join Devin on his camping trip. We packed up Miss Lily and we made a picnic lunch to eat while we were there. We had a great time, but we were completely exhausted afterwards. Lugging around all of the baby stuff, the cooler, and the baby up and down hills really gave us both a good workout.

Here is Lily with her daddy. Isn't she adorable?
I was actually able to get Lily to smile on camera. She has already learned when she see's a camera that a big flash is coming, and she will stop smiling. We kind of tricked her to look at Lora instead of the camera.

Lily was hot and cranky, so we layed her down in the cabin to let her cool off before we left. Actually, we were all kind of hot and cranky!

Since it was so hot, Lora let Lily suck on a piece of watermelon to get her mouth a little wet. OMG, it was sooo cute. Lily likes watermelon.

After a really long day on the Mountin, Lora and I came back to my house and I cooked a good dinner for her, and my friend Erica came over.

That night I decided that I wanted to go out and have fun with my friends. Since Brendon was out of town, I didn't have to worry with a babysitter. I just went. My friend Melonie got a sitter for her kids and we went for a nice night on the town. There was a camera in our faces as soon as we walked in the door. Here are those pics:

After we went to da Club, we decided to go to the 24 hour resteraunt, Athens. I haven't been there in years, but I got talked into it. There were actually several people there that I know, and we ended up staying there talking until 6am. It was alot of fun. My friend, Skippy, was playing around with my camera and took these shots.

I have always been told that I have freakishly green eyes. I, for some reason, have never really noticed this. Everyone always asked if I had colored contacts. This is the first picture that I do see what everyone was talking about. Now I have had the LASIK eye surgery, so I definately don't wear contacts! I blew up the picture above so that you can see my eyes. I know I seem completely vain right now, but a girl is allowed to be vain sometimes!

This is a picture of my friend Patrick eating some very greasy Athens food. I just drank my coffee, and Skippy kept taking pictures of all of the food, and Patrick.

I'm glad you had fun last weekend. You know we always enjoy Brendon, even though he is so NEEDY!!! He says Nana 1,000 times a day. Can we do this? Can we do that? It's exhausting sometimes!!! He's still my precious though & so are you!!! Lora - precious baby!!! I can't believe how much she has grown!!

Everytime I check your blog to see if there's an update, I notice the french fries in that bottom picture. Oh, it makes me so hungry!
