Belated Halloween/Late October Post
For some reason I have had issues with wanting to post blogs lately. I have been trying to get motivated for the past week to make this post. I am now combining a few posts into one b/c of my laziness. I have alot to cover, so here goes:
The week of Halloween I bought Brendon a very large pumpkin and I let him and Eric carve it with a template Eric got off of the internet. I think they did a great job.

Brendon is now enjoying being a member of the cub scouts. Last week he got to go to a city council meeting, and say the "Pledge of Allegiance" and introduce himself. The mayor let all of the boys sit in a chair of a city council member before they all got there. It was a great experience for him and all of the kids.
- Despite having dyslexia, Brendon made straight A's on his report card. His teacher says that only two kids were able to get A honor roll. She also said Brendon is shaping up to be a great leader in his class, and she is giving him more responsibility. (Brendon already says he wants to go to Chapel Hill b/c they have a concierge)
- I will be 29 in a week from today. This is my last year in my twenties. Next year is the big 3-0, but this year doesn't really feel any different than any other year in my twenties.
- I have most of my Christmas shopping already done, and I don't have to get out in the shopping madhouse to do much more. I am very happy about that.
- Eric and I were having trouble finding the $750 dollars for Brendon's adoption considering the holidays are right around the corner and my car needed $700 worth of work done to it. We have been praying about the situation, and told our small group to help us pray. Last week they handed us a check for $750 and told us to take care of the adoption. We were in complete shock. I immediately burst into tears. I have never seen such generous people in all of my life. Eric, Brendon and myself are very blessed to have these guys in our lives. I don't know how we can ever thank them enough. Brendon had the great idea of making some really nice gift baskets for each family, so that is what we are going to do. By the end of December Brendon will be Brendon White. He will even get a new birth certificate!
And that is all I have for now...

I just love that, that is what the Body of Christ is all about. I'm so excited for Brendan and of course you and Eric. :)
That's absolutely wonderful about the adoption and your small group - congratulations!
I'm so happy for you, Brendon & Eric. I know you'll be so glad to legally be the "White Family". What an amazing group of people your "Small Group" is. That was definitely an answer to prayer. God is an amazing God isn't he!! Not to change the subject, but I feel so old with a daughter 29 years old. How can this be I feel like I should only be 29!!! Love you - MOM
