Week 1 of camp

Well, the first week of camp was a success overall. We missed him more than he missed us. Brendon had an absolutely wonderful time at church camp, and yesterday we sent him off to another camp in the mountains. We drove him up there yesterday, and it was one of the most beautiful camps I have ever seen. They have 2160 acres of land! The average camper walks five miles a day just to get to all of the places they need to go! It looked very nice, and Eric and I wanted to stay b/c it was so pretty.

We had to have another little discussion with Brendon about hygiene at camp. Last week before camp we reminded him that he needed to shower and change his clothes every day. I even asked his counselor to remind him. I packed his clothes in separate ziplock bags, and they each said the day of the week on them. That way, all he would have to do is pull out the ziplock bag for that day, and it would have all of his clothes for that day and that night. I couldn't have possibly made it any easier for him. Well, at the camp they were at last week, they post pics of the kids 3 times per day. Imagine my surprise when I saw him wearing this on Tuesday.

He didn't change his shorts for 3 days straight! And don't forget, they swam in the lake and played outside all day every day! The camp that he went to this week also posts pictures, and I told him if he didn't shower and change his clothes I was going to come pick him up in the middle of the week.

Brendon took disposable cameras to camp, and I am going to develop them next week, and I will post those pics after we get them all developed.
