Amy's blog

This is a blog about me, Amy,my husband, Eric, and my son's Brendon and Gabriel. I really just want a space to write down all of the little things that you forget in everyday life. I have started this blog to have a place to remember all of Brendon's (and now Gabriel's) little antics and the funny things that he says and does.

Baseball Season In Full Swing

This season Brendon was invited to try out for challenge team in his baseball league. This is basically an extra team he plays on when he is not playing on his regular rec team. He tried out and made it. Above he is pictured in his all star uniform right before their first tournament. They didn't win the tournament, but the sure did an awesome job. They had to play 4 games in two days, which was rough on the boys. We have another tournament coming up next weekend.
In Brendon's regular rec team he has lost one game (only by one point) and they have won all of the rest of the games. His skills are really improving every day. He has moved up to first baseman, and he is now the cleanup batter in the lineup because he hits the ball to the outfield every time. I am sorry to brag, but he is really good. I think it is good for kids to have an outlet to get out all of their energy. Brendon really loves baseball, and just the other night he spent 4 hours at the field, and still wasn't ready to go.
I have been spending around 5 nights a week at the baseball field, and I just try to bring my homework along with me some so that I can work on it. I really love to go to the games. They are soooo much fun. Eric and my parents also really enjoy going to them and cheering on the little man. This week our Brendon has a game on Thursday night, Saturday morning, and Sunday afternoon, and Challenge practice on Friday night. I am prepared to spend the entire weekend at the fields. Good thing I enjoy it...I will be posting the highlights of these games as he plays them. I know that Brendon will want to read recaps of his games later on...
