Erica's Wedding Reception
Last weekend, my good friend Erica and her new husband, Brian had a wedding reception to celebrate their union made in June. They had a destination wedding in Hawaii, and we celebrated with a great reception. I could see how happy my friend is and I have to say that she deserves every ounce of happiness that Brian brings to her life. Congratulations Erica and Brian!
My plans were to leave Brendon at home with my parents, but Erica informed me that her 10-year old son, Elijah, would be there without a playmate. Brendon and Elijah are good friends so I figured it would be better if they could entertain one another. Here they are posing for their picture. Aren't they both such handsome young men?

This was the setup for the reception. Erica made her own cake! I thought that it was simple and elegant, just like Erica.
Yummy! Chocolate and rasberry filled chocolate cake. I thought it was delicious, and I am not even a big fan of chocolate.
I had to interrupt the happy couple for a brief moment to get a picture of them, and it turned out to be one of my favorites.
Here is everyone watching while they made a toast.
I am pretty sure that Lora enjoyed herself, although she was in the process of frantically packing to go to Germany.
Erica looked so pretty in her white dress.
This is me and Meagan posing for Lora. She took most of these pictures, so I can't really take credit.
This is a picture of Brian's mom toasting the bride and groom. At this point everyone was having to fight back the tears.
Well, sometimes you just have to give into the tears. This pic really captures the moment.
Who says you can't have your cake and eat it too?
Erica ordered the boys shirley temples for the toast. They were so busy playing that they missed it, and toasted each other.
Me, Erica, and several others went out after the party. This is a great picture of Erica.
Somehow my hand ended up in this picture. At this point there was too much alcohol involved to really say how that happened...
