It's time for Christmas
Brendon continues to do well in school. He just brought home his progress report for the second nine weeks. He didn't have any grades below 96. He is also progressing nicely with his reading. I believe he has learned to overcome his dyslexia. He is reading 200 page books over the course of a week and comprehending everything he reads. I am soooo proud of him.
However, I think that Brendon has become bored with this school, and his teacher says that he is getting in trouble all of the time. She said he always works ahead in math, even when she has asked him not to. She did start to have him tutor the other children that are having a harder time with the math they are working on. The school is going to have him tested for AG classes for next year.
Here is Brendon's school picture for the 4th grade: I think it is cute.

My church also opens a toy store every year so that those less fortunate can come in and purchase toys for their children at a significantly lower price than they cost originally. I will be doing alot of work with that, so I am excited about helping. I have also continued to work at the Crisis Pregnancy Center, and I feel like my experiences there are going to have a great impact on my life. I know that God works through that center, and through me and the other volunteers to help women through their tough situations.
I have really been wanting a real tree this year for our house, but with me out of work and the holidays approaching, I really couldn't justify spending that kind of money on a tree when we have two perfectly good artificial trees. On Saturday, Brendon and I went to my mom's house and decorated for Christmas. When we came home we found this:
Eric had gotten us a real tree and decorated it! I was so touched...
