Fridays Appt.
I had an appointment on Friday with the MD that I had been dreading since I found out I was pregnant. I had to take the glucose tolerance test to see if I was diabetic. Most pregnant women dread this test anyway, but since I had the gastric bypass surgery, I was especially dreading it. After I have alot of sugar, I get something called dumping syndrome, and I pretty much stay sick for about 30 min. For this particular test, you drink 100mg of glucose, and one hour later they test your blood glucose level.
The test went very well. I only got sick for about 15 min. After the test, my blood sugar was actually very low, and I had to go get lunch immediately. I passed, and don't have gestational diabetes. I also got my Rhogam shot. The pregnancy is going well, and I only have about 10 more weeks to go. So far, I have gained about 15 lbs. and the doctor said I should gain about one lb. every week until the end. I will probably gain around 30 lbs. total. Considering I gained about 100 lbs. with Brendon, that is pretty good.
We are getting the nursery ready, and I will post pics as soon as that is done. We are definately getting excited for the new littly guy to come into our lives. I can't wait to meet him...

I'm so glad your test went well! I know how worried you were. I can't wait to see nursery pics!
Yuck! Dumping syndrome sounds horrible. But I'm glad you passed your test!
I also can't wait to see nursery pics. And I'm anxious to hear the new name.
Great news on the GD test - that stuff tastes horrific for sure! I'm getting really excited for all these 2009 babies - it should be an awesome summer with them all around! I am envisioning cute pictures with lots of '09 babies on blankets at the park. :)
I can't wait to see the nursery pics - you're headed for the final stretch!
Amy I'm so exited to meet this little fellow too. Of course, I've been exited ever since you texted the positive pregnancy test to me. I'm really happy that your test went well & the pregnancy is going well. Of course, you know as a Mom I still worry about you & pray for you everyday. God has done amazing things in your life & I'm so thankful that you are finally happy & you are with a wonderful man that was chosen for you by God. Merry Christmas my beautiful daughter!!
