The Long Overdue Beach Post
I know that everyone has been waiting with anticipation, for me to write the beach blog. Sorry, but I had to wait for more people to post their pics on the photobucket, so that I could gank them for this blog.
We went to the beach over the third weekend in September. Alot of the Senior Women, their husbands, and children. It was somewhat chaotic, but I thinkt that we all enjoyed our nice vacation. Brendon and I went down on Thursday to get prepared for our visitors. Friday morning I took him for pancakes, so we got to spend a little mommy-son time together before everyone arrived on Friday night.
Once all of the men arrived, this is where Brendon stayed most of the trip. On the dock, fishing. I am pretty sure that he wore the guys out, and I didn't see Brendon for much of the weekend. He was very proud to feel like one of the guys.

Olaf bought Brendon a kite, and John took a bunch of pics of him on the beach flying it. While flying this kite, it detached from the string, and it kept flying! We could still see it in the air after it was about a mile over the ocean.
On Saturday night, all of us (18 of us!) decided to get dressed up and go out for dinner in Calabash. It did take awhile, but it was a good time. I love this pic of all the Senior Women while we waited for a seat.
I love this picture of Rachel and Kirby. Too cute.
I guess John took this one himself. What an adorable couple! Thank you guys for all of your help at the beach. You guys are awesome!
We threw Rachel a surprise baby shower on Sunday morning. She was definately surprised. Here are me and Caiti watching Rachel open her gifts.
There I am cutting Rachel's cake for the baby shower. Sorry to the guys that we didn't save you any...
Here is Rachel opening the stroller that the Senior Women gave her for her baby shower.
Here is Sam trying some of the broccoli that we had as appetizers at the shower. He thoroughly enjoyed it.
After celebrating at the baby shower, we watched the Panthers game in the sunroom. I guess this on one of the few touchdowns that the Panthers scored in that game because we lost.
Girls, I hope that you all had a great time, and I expect to be planning a weekend like this again in the spring. I hope you can all come again next time.

Oh my goodness! Those pictures are the best! I gotta say, the one of Sam chewing the broccoli is SO attractive. We'll have to show that one to all of his girlfriends.
Hmmm, I have a question. In the last picture, Rachel is looking at the camera (figures!), and JC, Caiti, and Sam are looking at the TV. What in the world are we looking at, Amy??
What ARE you guys looking at?
I had a blast, Amy, thank you so much for having us!!!!
Amy, I hope you are feeling better! You looked about as green as the turf yesterday at the game....stinking nachos!
I just now saw the beach post, yay! Thanks again for everything, we had a great time. Your hospitality is out of this world! Thank you thank you thank you!
Oh, and I forgot to say, Sam is my favorite one in that touchdown picture. He looks terrified, like he he will get in big trouble if he doesn't do touchdown with his mommy. But so cute that he did it right on cue!
Well you know, Eliza, his mommy might put the smack down if he doesn't do the touchdown sign when he is supposed to...:)
I had a great time with all of you guys. My bday is next month and I am doing a big party, and I am cooking. All of you have to come.
