Amy's blog

This is a blog about me, Amy,my husband, Eric, and my son's Brendon and Gabriel. I really just want a space to write down all of the little things that you forget in everyday life. I have started this blog to have a place to remember all of Brendon's (and now Gabriel's) little antics and the funny things that he says and does.

Bridal Showers

Eric and I are getting married on Sunday of this upcoming week. It has been hectic and crazy in our lives right now because we are also under contract for a house. We are going to close the first week in June. Planning all of the details of our wedding has been really fun and exciting for me. With my first wedding, my mom planned everything. This time around Eric and I have planned every last detail ourselves. I am really excited to see all of this planning come to fruition on Sunday! I couldn't have done it without my friends Kim and Erica to help me out. Those two have done soooo much for me, and I am eternally grateful to them for everything.
Last week I had two bridal showers. My mom threw me one, and my work threw me another. They were alot of fun, and I was so lucky to get so many nice gifts. I am still writing thank you cards from the showers. These are the pics from each shower.

Kinia made some really delicious cupcakes for the shower.

My friend, Heather, from my small group came to my work shower and brought some dishes. It was so sweet of her. This is us with her adorable son, Maddox. I was still chewing my food, so it isn't the greatest pic of me.

Me and Shannell started at the Red Cross on the same day. We have been friends ever since.

Oooohhh, Pretty gifts!

My mom, grandma, and Aunt Debbie threw me a shower the Sunday before my work shower. It was alot of fun, and the food was fabulous! My friend Erica offered to make the cake for the shower, and it was incredible! She made a chocolate petit four cake and it had strawberry cream in the center. Check out her baking skills below.

My friend, Kim's, dad got put in the hospital the day of my shower, so she wasn't able to make it to my mom's house it time. Erica and I decided to meet her at Phil and Tony's after the shower so that we would get to see her. This is the three of us...
We bumped into my friend Elyse while we were there so we got to hang out with her for a bit, too.

Eric didn't have the money to buy me a ring when we first got engaged, so we waited a little while. My friend's dad is a jewler, and we got him to custom make my engagement back in January. We picked everything from the stones to the setting, and he also got me the wedding band that I will be wearing. I got my ring the other week, and it was well worth the wait. These pics don't even do it justice...

I will be posting wedding pics before long. I can't wait to see Brendon and Eric in their tuxes. I bet they will look so handsome! Brendon will be carrying our rings, and we are including him in parts of the ceremony so that he will know that we are officially a family. I hope that everything will go as planned. I can't wait!!!
