Ob Confirm

I had my first Dr. appointment yesterday to confirm that I am pregnant. I am six weeks along. My appt. was pretty short, and the doctor said that he could tell I was growing. He was concerned about the fact that I do not take in enough calories to sustain a pregnancy in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters (b/c of the gastric bypass). He will be setting me up with a nutritionist to see that I can find a way to take in at least 2000 calories a day. I will not be having an ultra sound until my 12th week b/c we know that exact date that we conceived (after all I was on Clomid). I will, however, have several ultrasounds during this pregnancy to ensure that the baby is growing correctly. I haven't really been hit by any nausea yet, but I have not been as hungry lately. I have mostly just felt really tired, like most women in the first trimester. I will keep updating as I move along in this new journey.
