Some baby pics
Well, Gabriel is one week old today. I never could have imagined becoming a mother a second time could be such an absolutely wonderful experience. Even with all the stuff that happened this past week, I don't feel stressed. 10 years later, I have infinately more patience and maturity. Being up in the middle of the night has not really bothered me b/c I lived with insomnia for years. Baby Gabriel has already put himself on a regular schedule. He nurses every 2 hours like clockwork. In the night, he wakes up every two hours to feed, and then goes right back to sleep. Eric has done an absolutley wonderful job at handling a newborn. He has definately changed more clothes and poopy diapers than I have. He is great a swaddling, and adores his new little guy. Eric has also been paying extra attention to Brendon. Brendon has been handling this transition well. He loves to hold the baby, and kiss him on the forhead. He has also done really well with the nursing thing. He is glad to leave the room or cover his eyes for me to get started, and then I get covered up so he can return. All in all, we are doing really well.

Glad things are going well!
I've been here with Amy & family since Saturday. To say I love this baby is the understatement of the year!! I can't keep my hands off of him & Brendon says I've kissed him 300 times. I'm not sure how he knows, but he's probably pretty close. I have to go home either late today or tomorrow. I am really going to miss this precious baby. Just thinking about leaving makes me sad. Not only have I enjoyed spending time with Gabriel, but I've enjoyed the time with Amy & Brendon. I live 32 miles away so when I leave it may be awhile until I see them again. I know 32 miles doesn't seem far, but when you work full time it's difficult to fit in family visits, during the week anyway. I'm going to have major baby withdrawal next week. I don't even want to think about it. I love you baby Gabriel!! Nana
You sound really happy. And, that makes me happy. :o)
