Amy's blog

This is a blog about me, Amy,my husband, Eric, and my son's Brendon and Gabriel. I really just want a space to write down all of the little things that you forget in everyday life. I have started this blog to have a place to remember all of Brendon's (and now Gabriel's) little antics and the funny things that he says and does.

This week

This week has been quite nice! I was off on Tuesday, and I am off today, and Friday I am going in late. I have an appointment with my surgeon to see how everything is going.
I worked on Monday and my friend Melanie took Brendon for the day because it is spring break. My brother took him to the batting cages and then to baseball practice. All I heard when I picked him up, was praise from the coaches.
Tuesday was alot of fun. My friends Melanie and Lora came over and brought their kids. I don't think it was very much fun for Brendon becuase Charlotte kept climbing on him. Lora and I took the kids to Chik-Fil-A and got them ice cream and let them play on the playground. My good friend Lora had the fabulous idea of going to get her camera in South Carolina. We went with her, and I thought that it wouldn't take too long. On the way home we got caught in terrible traffic because of a motorcycle accident. I got home and then had to go meet my friends at the British pub. It was pretty cool. We relaxed and enjoyed ourselves.
Wednesday I had to work again. I could really get used to this schedule! After work I picked Brendon up from baseball practice. I have to say that this season I was pretty concerned that Brendon's talents were not going to shine because the other children are sooooo good! When I picked him up this time, the kids that were being kinda ugly to him at the beginning of the season were saying "Good job Brendon" "Way to go Brendon". He has gotten so good, that now the coaches have him playing the bases instead of the outfield. He hit every single ball pitched to him and got a kid out on second base! For those of you that don't know, that is a great accomplishment for him and the team. His coach says that he could very well end up the best player on his team, and he is the youngest! I am so proud of him.
Today is Thursday, and we have a pretty full day. We are going to Chuck-E-Cheese (Hell on Earth!) and then we are going to have some friends over for a cookout at my house. I am excited. This week has been awesome. I don't know how I am going to work my regular times next week!

Have fun at The Cheese! I'm glad I'm not with you (I'm still afraid of the oversized anamatronics)! Looking forward to the cookout. Any night with homecooked food is a good one!
